Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula that’s triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

One more for finally getting that silly badge! Basically what I was expecing, one more of those american light macro lagers. Corny, sweet, dense and with a light bitter. No hops, no crisp, no flavour. Not disgusting, just nothing.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Carlson and his fixation on forcing me to rate crappy beer. Pours a clear, straw color, with a medium, fizzy, white head. The aroma is corn, actual Saaz hops (maybe?), dust, and water crackers. Sweet and sugary, with more bitterness than I expected. Light and a little syrupy. This is pretty nice, actually. More character than expected, and no off flavors. Solid lawnmower beer.

Bottle left at my house. Brilliantly clear light gold in color with a huge bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet bready crackery light green apple sulfur and wet cardboard. Not horrible.

In my ongoing summer of disarray, the lack of access to better brews keeps leading me back to malt liquors. Enter Bud Light Platinum, a bomber found at a nearby Kent Kwik. I will say that the blue bottle is attractive. Keeping the bottle in the bag it was sold in, I lift the cap. The expected, basic-beer smell: grain and water. The taste, it shouldn’t really offend anyone just as it shouldn’t excite anyone. Biscuit, cereal, a hint of citrus and clear water. Not the cachet of Eight Ball but not bad.

25oz can, bought by my son and shared with him while eating a home made Turkey Curry on 27th Dec 2019; daughters house in California. Light golden pour, clean and clear, snow white head that faded a bit too quickly for my liking. A whole lot better than I anticipated, but still a pretty nondescript sort of beer, very little aroma or flavour to get your senses racing.

A less sweet version of Bud Light. Just a regular American style lager taste. Dry, crisp, bitter, tinny.
