Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula that’s triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

Clear golden coloured body with a larger soapier head of white that shows at about 3 centimetres at first and dies down immediately. Aroma of grass, rice, mellow malts and a touch of caster sugar with little else. Light-bodied; Super grassy and mellow malt flavours with some cardboard, a touch of rice and a larger dose of grains right afterwards along with a good kick of lemons and citrus and very little else, but at least the beer shows absolutely no bitterness at all, only some dry malt, grain and a kick of pure sugar with just about no other flavours at all. Aftertaste is dry and grainy with some citrus and sugars and water with rice behind. Overall, a very subdued beer with no obtuse flavours at all and nothing offensive nor bitter at all, just some funky/gross malts and a mellow sweetness from caster sugar that gives this one any character at all. Not the worst beer at all, and showing almost no flavour, but that's okay - at least it isn't bitter nor offensive/pungent. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from the Speedway Gas Station at the Disney Boardwalk on 31-December-2017 for US$2,00 (the cheapest beer there) sampled in my hotel room here at the Disney World [Dolphin] on 01-January-2018.

Bottle given by a coworker. Drank from the bottle. Sweet corn all over the nose and sugary corn liquid on the palate. Sweet and cloying. Undrinkable. Worse than actual bud light. I assume they upped the malt bill. Doesn't seem as thin as reg bud-light. Nah though.

From bottle to cup. For starters, I found the 6% to be a little odd for a "Light" beer, but OK, whatever. Pours light yellow, but has a bit of a faint pinkish hue. The head is white and fluffy. Retains well. Aroma is grain. Not offensive, but certainly nothing rich and inviting. Flavor is cereal grain and a bit of a harsh huskiness in the back half of the palate. Thin mouthfeel, high carbonation. This was not terrible. Better than most of the macros, mostly because there are less off-flavors.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention 2, thanks to 3 way action from some well known deviants, 05/03/16. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white head. Nose is cereals, grain, pissy notes, bread. Taste comprises light caramel, spent grain, straw, light melon infuse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Where is the boost ???
