Level 42 Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft, modest carbonation. Some creamy malt sweetness contrast with a little roast bitterness. Modest citric hop into bitter floralness. Airy dry finish leaves a bitter linger. A tad harsh but decent.

Bottle shad in London - many thanks to Kenneth. Pours clear, deep brown with a slender, creamy beige head. The nose holds toasted toffee, faint chocolate, berries, butterscotch. Medium sweet flavour with more toasted toffee, a little ash, earthy bitterness, baking cocoa, raisins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nice balance in the finish, with more bittersweet cocoa, light roast, dried berries, scorched earth. Not bad.
