This American Amber Ale is a Hoppy and Caramel flavored American style craft ale. The first smell delivers a sweet caramel malt background with a blast of citrus and tropical fruit aroma from the Citra and Cascade Hops. The flavor follows suit and a pleasant lightly lingering citrus bitternes mellows with the malt to the end.

500mL bottle from Molloy’s. Pours a deep amber almost reddish brown colour with an off-white head that dissipates quickly. Biscuit and earthy hop aroma, first impression is an Irish red ale that doesn’t want to be. Sweetish malt flavour with unbalanced hoppiness, some tropical fruit. Nice idea but the flavours don’t mesh well. Nice bitter finish, thinner mouthfeel than expected.

Keg @ Norseman, Dublin [191114]
Dark amber, clear, thin white head, light lacing
Aroma of soft bitter orange, light pine hops
Taste of bitter zest. dab of caramel, dry bitter hop, lots of bitterness from the hops, getting an odd plasticy off note
Palate - Medium carb, medium light body. Finish is dry bitter, bit over bitter, still getting that off note

Draught at Norseman (I still like the name change back). Hazy chestnut with a solid head, great lacing. Aroma is sweet toasted malt. Flavour is bitter syrup, dry base, long dry bitter finish
