Cask at Bootlegger. It pours clear pale gold with minimal head. The aroma is fairly subdued, perfumed, porridge, toasted grain and light vanilla. The taste is sweet, very tangy, loads of fruit, blackcurrant, jammy, wood, straw, floral and light spice. The taste is a bit too tangy for my liking and their ain’t much condition. so-so.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Straw coloured with a tight white head; some fresh wood shavings on the aroma; smooth oaky taste; and a dry finish with a touch of vanilla. Not much sign of any whisky but pleasant enough.

26th October 2015
Hamilton Hall Spoons. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light with reasonable fine carbonation. A generic fruit sweetness with a floral accent and a milky tang. Mild esters. Ripe peach. Light finish. A curious bag, but not at all unpleasant.
