Notes from March 2011 Stout season is over. Hooray beer! 11.2oz bottle from Good Beer. Poured into a Carlsberg Pils glass. Pasty, off-white head. It comes to rest as a permanent dollop of cream atop my beer. Uniform spackle. Clear, pale, golden body. Smells of caramelized Euro malt & a light zest of minty/herbal/metallic hops. Bit mundane. Taste is sweet like low salt Ritz crackers. Halfway in is a spot of herbal hops that turn more irony as they linger. Empty finish. Dainty little thing. Watery. ABV is really suspect. Carbonation is soft & lacking. Probably the lightest Helles I've ever had. Not crisp enough to drink in quantity. Too light to bother to import. :/

Straw blond colour with lasting thin head. Lots of pale malt. Quite sweet. Clean. Basic.

En vaso helles, color dorado claro, transparente y cristalino, espuma blanca de media retención. Leve aroma a cereal y lúpulo, con ligera nota cítrica. En boca es ligera, con agradables notas dulces de malta y cítricas, amargor medio, muy refrescante. Una rica helles.

Draught at the brewerys restaurant at Markt in Leipzig. Clear golden with medium head. Fresh grass and honey aroma. Nice balance of malt, citrus and hops. Balanced bitterness.

Flaska från webshop. Klar gyllene guldfärgad med blekvit krona. Ganska maltig och brödig/knäckebrödig åt det torrare hållet, utan att bli superkrispigt. Knäckebröd, mineral, spannmål, snäll blommighet, lagom beska. Lite mitt emellan en torrare, krispig pilsner och en mjuk helles.

The aromas are straightforward pale malt, hops and a little yeast. The flavors are like nose, bittersweet at first with good carbonation going more sweet in the finish. Decent body. Okay beer.
