On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber with a decent head. Nose - cake and light sweet spices. Taste - more spiced fruit cake. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this grew on me. Has the body of a good ESB actually. Good brew.

Punch Bowl Spoons, Mickelgate, York. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and soft, good fine carbonation. Nice condition Soft malts, lightly sweet. Nice hops - floral and a little tropical, some spicy dry floralness. Light finish. Nicely done. Lets have some more Godiva.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive copper colour with a loose white head; butterscotch aroma; buttery in the mouth with a malty taste; then a drying finish with a herbal bitterness, some warmth, and lingering caramel. The best of a boring bunch so far.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Amber with a thick beige head and a middling fizz. Fruity- blackcurrants mainly. Some biscuits and cream. Mild bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Not bad, but not up to Purity’s best.
