Power black color with a huuuuuuughe beige head. Yes it was over carbonated. Unfortunately. Quite fizzy mouth feeling. Apart from that not very black ipa ish. Very roast dominated flavor. Also coffee and chocolate. Would have been a fine beer with a lower carbonation level.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Danny. Clear amber beer, thin tan head. Palate is airy, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Dry and bitterish dark malts, thin. Dry dark chocolate. Light and bitter floralness. Sorachi? A bare whisper. Light dry finish. It’s okay but there are many many better about.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; pitch black pour with a tidy magnolia head, aroma has citrus and underlying chocolate, taste has that distinctive sorachi action, along with chocolate, some lemon, daim bar sweet caramel.
