Cask @ Richard Oastler, Brighouse. Clear golden with a creamy head. It’s a malty-floral bitter in a smooth easy-drinking texture.

Hand-pulled pint into a UK pint sleeve in my local Wetherspoons on 8 Aug 2013. Good looking beer: full on amber with a red hue, on top a deep covering of white foam. The nose was both fruity and floral hops, with a malty undertone. The taste also a mixed bag of flavours, with the malts being stronger on the tongue than in the aroma. The malts give a sweetness that the hops try to prevent and this produces an interesting blend of flavours of dark berries and biscuit notes.

Cask@Market Porter. Copper coloured with small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops along with some herbs and mild grass. Flavour is fruity and floral hops with quite much caramel malts as well as some bready notes. Also some mild stinging berryish notes. A quite pleasant one.

Cask at the Babington Arms, Derby. Gold with a creamy white head; lime and citrus aroma; more citrus flavour with a bitter grapefruit bite and dry finish with orange and lime. Very pleasant on a summers evening.
