Keg at the Hop Locker. Lemon Drop and Denali (Exp 06277) hops. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but has decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, sweet, trace of cream. Hops bring ripe pineapple and modest ripe lemon. A little orange. Underneath is a mild but juicy generic tropical fruit thing going on. Light finish bring the ripe pineapple back to the fore. Tasty and interesting IPA. Denali hops slightly dominant.

Keg at the Kings Hop Locker - London. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds rich piney malts, ripened citrus fruits, sun-kissed pale malts. Medium sweet flavour with a little dankness, more pine, bread, ripe melon, orange, bitter rind, oily pine. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous on the finish, a little warming, with more ripe and hearty citrus fruit character, rich and almost gooey pine, some piney and grassy bitterness. A nicely robust, new-meets-old kind of IPA.

Keg at Hop Locker. It pours hazy bright orange with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, very juicy, loads of orange citrus, orangeade, Irn Bru, peach, apricot, five alive fruit juice and candied peel. The taste is smooth, restrained, yet decent bitterness, pine, grassy, light dank edge, bitter orange, ripe tropical fruits, nectarine, kumquat, resin, peppery spice and some alcohol to keep the juice in check. Finish is firm and dry. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. One of the best MR beers in a while, flavoursome, yet very drinkable.
