Growler shared in Hackney - thanks the rents, who sourced it from the brewery. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds rich roast, coffee grounds, some ash, scorched earth. Light-medium sweet with pleasant, somewhat edgy cocoa, more burnt earth, some raisins, ash. Medium bodied, silky, with fine carbonation. Balanced finish with some bittersweet cocoa, dark chocolate, hearty roast. Great all-around porter.

Growler shared at LKS. It pours near black with a decent tan head. The aroma toasty, cacao, brown bread, coffee grounds, earthy, wood, dull vanilla and wood. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, wood, leather, cacao, coffee grounds, spicy, chewy malt and tannins with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit chewy. Not as chuggable as their other offerings. Not bad though.

This beer pours a dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roasted malt, chocolate and espresso. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, espresso and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lingering coffee and malt aftertaste. Well-executed Porter all around.
