42nd Floor Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, mild roast bitterness. Mild piney hops and modest red berry fruits. Smooth finish leaves a bitter linger. Pretty drinkable if quite fluffy.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours hazy brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has toast, burnt pine, minerals, orange peelZ medium sweet flavour with more burnt pine, citrus peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with some flinty minerals, cocoa, earth, more light rindy bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Ken. It pours hazy darkest brown with a thick light tan head. The aroma is rich, charred wood, sweet, piney, rocky road, dried fruits, orange peel and tangerine. The taste is rich roasted malt, charred wood, spicy, peppery, dark fruits, orange peel, cocoa, tar and some alcohol warmth with a dry, toasty, charred finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Pretty punch, although carbonation is a bit high.

Keg at the Twisted Barrel tap room, 04/02/17. Black with a well appointed tan cap. Nose is pine needle, jammy red berries, spice, cocoa powder, brown bread. Taste comprises dankish hop tones, pine, liquorice, light black pepper, red berry tang, chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close doused with earthy hop bitterness. Decent CDA with added boost.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, tan head. Slightly sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, fruity hoppy notes of apricot, cherry, strawberry. Taste is moderately sweet, chocolately dark malty and fruity hoppy in combination with bitter and piney hoppy notes as well; notes of passion fruit, orange zest, dark chocolate; minimally chalky interludes. A bit raw and dirty.

Keg at Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap Room, Coventry Friday 27th February 2017 Pours black with a sticky off white head. Soft in the mouth, juicy but then a roasty edge. Really drinkable, in fact for the abv itโs dangerously drinkable. Big hoppy hit, streaky citrus hit. Like this, warming big BIPA, good BIPA. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
