An intriguing marriage of opposite base styles.
Brewed with Red X, the super clean base malt
and some melanoiden balances the dank, citrus,
and tropical qualities of Idaho 7, Centennial, and
Citra hops. A small amount of Carafa is used to
ensure that we nail that striking ruby red color that
tends to elude many brewers.

Pour is a dark brown with a large white head. Aroma is a mix of chewy sweet caramel malt and oily hops. Flavor is pretty much the same although the hops are not that noticable behind the thick malt. This is also not as sweet as I thought it was going to be. This was fine, the aroma was better than the flavor turned out to be.

Draft. Copper beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light darker malts. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light darker malts and light caramel.
