Nice stuff! Everything you’d want from a bipa. Light roast, nice hops. Pine and fruity. Great!

Bottle from Broken Top Bottle Shop. Black pour, no light escapes from within, thick tan head, sticks around for a while. Streaky lacing.Nice dark, roast malts in the aroma, some spice, some floral. Taste is super smooth, roast grains up front with some fruity sweetness near the back, finished by a small hops bite. One of the gentler black IPAs I’ve had, but its ease of drinking makes it a winner in my book.

T42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth, semi dry, soft and has very fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, some cream and vague roast. Good fruits, light red berries. Hop spice and pine. Smooth finish. Rich and drinkable, one of the better Imperial CDAs I’ve come across.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in WRJ. Pours clear red-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has light roast, burnt line, dry cocoa, ripening citrus. Medium sweet flavour with notes of dried berries, subtle ashy roast, bittersweet baking cocoa, some oily pine, orange. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Good balance in the finish, some resin, cocoa, orange rind, well toasted bread, some earth. Good depth, drinks real good for the strength. Excellent.

Bomber thanks to Leighton at level 42. It pours darkest brown with a thick tan head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, juicy, dark fruits, plum, orange marmalade, peach, nectarine and roasted malt. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, pine, tar, treacle, resin, cocoa, dark fruits, jammy berry, touch of alcohol, spice and barnyard with a dry, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich and pretty tasty,

On tap at the Loyal Legion, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and piney hops in good balance. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt upfront, followed by a concatenation of hops. Wonderful mix of hops and roast. Excellent.
