Interesting IPA, purchased at bootlegger, in Paris. You have notes of scorachi hop, pineapple, strawberry, bitter, rather sweet for a IPA, 24.08.18, drinking it at Prélaz, Lausanne.

Bottled (from KCM Kivihaka, Vaasa). Deep honeyish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, mild honey with some slight sweet malts. Flavour is fresh fruits, floral, some slight sweet malts along with some herbal and mild earthy notes too.

500ml can, bought in Metz, consumed at home paired with spicy Korean food. Pours clear orange with medium off-white head, decent lacing, clear medium body. Exotic, citrous fruits and grassy aromas, some sweet caramel and grapefruit notes too. Bittersweet backbone with bitter orange peel aftertaste that stays long and takes over, which isn't my favourite thing. Decent balance between hops and malts, but the aftertaste is a bit strong. Went ok with the food.

Shared bottle. Pours a murky bronze with a fluffy, foamy dirty white head. Aroma and taste of stale tropical fruit, resin, citrus notes. Underwhelming.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is a slight fruity hop with some toasted malt. Flavor is again a very slight fruit hop, some dry malt. This is about average or a little below average in every way. The ABV on my bottle says this is 5.9 not the 6.7 listed here so this probably fits more into the pale ale category more than IPA.

3 Johns Black Hole. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, fairly dry and finely crisp. Fluffy malts, a little creamy sweetness. Spot of tea! Light spicy orange and ripe orange. Crisp finish leaves a orange peel bitter linger. Disappointing and somewhat staid.

Draft. Clear golden body with a frothy white head, rapidly diminishing. Anemic aroma of toasted grain, pine and grapefruit. Vague hint of caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light on both aroma and flavor. Taste of grapefruit, tropical fruit, grain.
