Study your tide times if you ever plan a trip to Holy Island - definitely a must if in Northumberland. This one less so unless you are after a session ale. Easy but ordinary. Light sweetness, hoppy and dryish

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours a clear dark gold with small white head. Aroma of toasted grains, straw, light fruity to floral hops. Taste - toasted malt, sweet fruity resin, a bitter herbal in the finish. Light to medium body and carbonation. OK but a notch below their usual standard of beer.

500ml bottle - Pours a clear golden colour with a frothy off-white head that settled. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel and light fruity hop notes. A moderately sweet taste, pale malt and orange flavours with a light bitterness. Average.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Deep golden coloured, some bubbles on top and aroma of malt, biscuit, citrus. Taste is malty, bready, some biscuit and citrusy bitterness. Light to meduim bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Quite OK

4/4/2021. Bottle shared at the first post-lockdown Ipswich beer share. From Northumbrian Gifts. Poured clear gold with a small frothy white head. Nice looking beer. Aroma of sweet malt, ripe fruits, grain, biscuit, flowers, touch of veg water. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation.

Bottle from the greengrocer on Amble high street. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon, biscuit, something metallic. Taste is more of the same. Hint of gingerbread on the finish.
