This mid strength Pale is double dry hopped with Amarillo, Chinook, and Mosaic. We increased the wheat malt for a richer mouthfeel and fermented with WLP001 for a neutral yeast profile.

Can from Salt Horse. Murky golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of rhubarb and custard sweets, muffin, pineapple and melon. Flavour of minerals, lime pith, grass and a dry, prickly bitterness. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Crisp and light.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Caps n Taps. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a foamy, pure white head. Fairly intense citrus and pissy hops in the aroma, some white grape, melon, lemon, tangerine. Light-medium sweet flavour with faint licorice, mild bitter lemon rind, pine needles, understated pale bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more melon, peach, tangerine, mild rindy bitterness. Well rounded, even with the assertive hop character. Stellar stuff.

Can at home, 18/06/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head of bubbles. Nose is cantaloupe melon, orange pith, straw, light bread dough, apricot, hop jizz. Taste comprises tangerine, melon balls, papays, light bread, toasted grains, light pine, faint grapefruit zest. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop rinse. Decent APA fayre ... clean refreshing and on point.

Can from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton. It pours crazy cloudy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, soft, juicy, peach, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, fruit cocktail and rhubarb & custard sweets. The taste is smooth, mellow bitterness, green hops, pine needles, straw, grass, weed, bread, toasty oats and some zesty tropical fruits. Finish is drying. Medium body and fine, massing carbonation. Rather pleasant aroma.

Can, from the brewery, via TVT. Very hazy, pale yellow gold. Thin, bubbly, white head. Nose has green, leafy hop. Pineapple. Mango. Lemon sherbet. Some peach and nectarine. Smells great. Taste has some light sweetness first off, turning quite dry, with a green hop, slightly harsh bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little astringent and drying. Prickly carbonation. Finish has more of the green hop bitterness. It’s good, but overall it’s a bit too clean and astringent. Maybe a couple of weeks might do it the world of good. 8473-15
