The turbocharged brother of the original Hoptimist, this new version is more decadent than ever. Massively hopped with Citra and Mosaic and with a complex malt base, this triple IPA is akin to drinking fruit pastilles in liquid form. The nectary richness of flavour belies the ABV , this is a velociraptor in wolf’s clothing

Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Thanks to Ade for the can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts. Lovely hops - lime and lemon, candy fruits. Mild hop spice and pine. Touch of tropical fruits. Light finish. Reminds me of Weird Beards Gumball. Very nice indeed.

Can shared in hackney - thanks to MrTips. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy topping. Bready malts in the nose, jammy citrus, orange. Quite sweet, lots of bready malts, ripening citrus, marmalade, oily pine. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Little warming in the finish, with more pine, mellow bitterness, bready pale malts, tangerine. Fairly basic but nice enough.

Can from The Beerhive. Golden body with a light haze, a few specks of sediment and a small white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma pineapple, peach, caramel and orange. Flavour of honey, orange and sweet melon. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Sweet and hoppy. Pretty good and very easy to drink considering the strength.
