Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 13/02/18. Murky mahogany brown meets light black with a decent beige head. Nose is burnt toffe, spice, herb, Christmas cheer, earthy. Taste comprises dried fruits, liquorice, charr, toffee, cocoa rub, herbs, tangy dark fruit rinds. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, warming booze in the close. Decent enough herbal-spiced up impy.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a small, foamy tan head. The nose holds dried berries, ashy roast. Meidum sweet flavour with strong ashy roast, leathery berries, minerals. Medium to full bodied, oily, with soft carbonation. Warm finish with ashy bitterness, jammy ripe berries. A little clunky, but not bad.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Semi dry dark malts, little chocolate. Dry cherry wood underneath, bitterish. Light roast. Airy finish. Unusual Impy, the cherrywood makes it.
