Good lord, not sure went wrong here. Bottle. The pour and look are fine but fizzy. Granny smith apple vinegar with hints of malt and coffee. Tastes like somebody spit inside of a gueze bottle and mixed it with a porter.

Bottle. Dark brown with an amber hue when held up to the light. Small head. Aroma is strongly like bourbon with hints of vanilla. Taste is roasted grains and bourbon with a slight sweetness and vanilla finish.

Draft pour at Goodwood Brewing, Louisville. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small off-white head. Aroma was big bourbon, vanilla, woody barrel. Toasty and roasty malts. Big chocolate, dark chocolate. Vanilla wood finish. Alcohol is present here.

330ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt and bourbon. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a rich, slightly oily, roasty, oaky, bourbon, light chocolate, light dry coffee palate and some hints of sweet vanilla. Full to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not bad at all and the best beer I’ve had so far from this brewery.

Draft at brewery. Dark brown, filmy head, ring of bubbles. Aroma is roast malts, light sweet notes. Taste adds light woody notes and very faint bourbon. More normal stout flavors than BBA.
Chocolatey and coffeey. Nice, not too offensive. Bit thin and malty back but enjoyable.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a large, four centimetre tall light brown head, that was a gusher for the first few minutes when the top was finally popped. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, oak, grain, mild coffees and a heavy dose of chocolate cake, which is by far the strongest out of the bunch. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong lactose and pure cream bite at first with a light coffee and chocolate flavour soon afterwards, but the roasted malt is still the strongest, with perhaps the bourbon barrel and oakiness, second. Aftertaste shows a quite mild and subdued lactose and pure caster sugar flavour with a thinnish malt profile and a touch of vanilla on the finish. Overall, a pretty poor beer overall, from the bourbon flavours to the oakiness and of course the malt and perceived (at least in the style here on RateBeer) punch and complexity of this, as an Imperial Stout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Beer Run in Charlottesville, Virginia on 26-February-2017 for US$3,50 sampled at my house here in Washington almost two years later on 19-January-2019.

Aromas are dark malt roast black patent and either mint or eucalyptus. Flavors are like nose, bitter sweet and balanced plus that weird mint thing.

12oz bottle. Ummmm. Early infection. Big infection head. Aroma is just effervescence shooting up ny nose. Really have to wait a while to smell it. I do get acidity and tart black malts (light coffee). Flavor is mildly malty earthy until acidity kicks on. Nothing bourbon about this beer.
