Cask @ Pilcrow, Manchester. Black with a thin head. Has an initial floral aroma and taste, with developing roasted malts that get deeper tasting. Has an obvious strength.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich coffee, licorice, chocolate, caramel and hops. Nice long coffee finish.

Keg at Craft Islington. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The aroma is earthy, rich roasted malt, charred wood, dark chocolate, brownie and cookie. The taste is bitter, charred wood, roasted malt, earthy, brownie, cookie dough, toasted spice, peppery and a touch of booze with a dry, toasty finish. Medium - full body and average carbonation. Doesnโt have as much depth as I had hoped. Decent enough.

Craft Islington. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, some licorice and dark malt cream. Touch of dark fruits. Light semi dry finish. Drinks easy for the abv.

Keg at CBC Islington, 29/11/17. Light black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is chocolate, coffee grinds, light spice, charr, brown sugars. Taste comprises coffee grinds, sweet malts, chocolate cake, mellow fruit rinds, light spice balance, toffee fudge. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light alcohol tickle. Solid impy ... great coffee nose ... drinks below the stated ABV.
