Nice smooth malty beginning. Slightly sweetish, not too much bitterness. Easy to drink, hints of malty grain in the back, smooth and soft. I miss the bitterness…

11/10/2018. Bottle from Flower Farm Shop, Godstone. 4.2% abv. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, nut, fruit, biscuit, bread and a hint of chocolate. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Slightly dry, sweeter finish. Not bad.

Bottle at home. A really standard old school bitter and nothing special at all.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Hazy amber beer, bubbly cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts bring a very mild sweetness. Light floral bitterness. Well buried tangy citrus. Dry bitter finish. Bit dry and bitter but okay.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 19/10/17. Light haze on a golden amber pour with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit, earthy fruits, hedgerow, toffee, leafy notes. Taste comprises biscuit malt, straw, grains, brown bread, light tofee. Medium bodied, spritzy and overcarbed, semi drying close with moderate bitterness. So so bitter.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - cheers to Kenny for this old-school treat. Pours lightly hazy orange with a big, frothy off-white head. The aroma holds toasted leaves, dried berries, orange peel. Lightly sweet flavour, with more leafy bitterness, toasted grains, plastic, grass. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Very bitter on the finish, moderately astringent, with more grains, leaves. Not the best.

Bottle at level 42 thanks to Kenny. It pours hazy copper with a mahooosive foamy white head. The aroma is toasty grain, metallic notes, bready, cereal, toasted nut and wood. The taste is dry, toasty, earth, wood, leather, toasted grain, pithy, soapy, soda water, leather and tree bark with a drying and sort of tannic finish. Medium body and incredibly high and foamy carbonation. The high carbonation kills this beer and overtakes it someone. Pretty rubbish.
