A 10% imperial stout. Jet black with aromas of dark fruits and smooth caramel. A soft, sweet, silky mouthfeel leads to hints of burnt biscuits, raisins notes & subtle coffee ending in a bitter dark chocolate finish.

Black with a beige head. Roasted malts (but. It intense), chocolate, licorice, molasses, burnt malts, toffee, a bit of cream. Full bodied. Finish is sweetish but not cloying. A very go and exceptionally filling.

440ml can. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, average, dense, firm, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, brown head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, dark caramel, some toffee, cocoa, coffee dipped biscuits. Taste is sweet, caramel malty, mildly roasty, dark malty and bitter hoppy, notes of dark caramel, toffee, cocoa, coffee, a touch of coffee dipped biscuits, fruity overtones with a touch of alcohol soaked dried fruit, raisin, plum.
Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Fine, balanced, focussed; and has obviously individual character due to brewing skills neglecting this "oh, let's copy a popular pastry/dessert by using corresponding adjunts" bric-à-brac - pretty good.

Can from Great Grog. Black body with a thick tan head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and Marmite. Flavour of chocolate and brown bread. Full body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich, well rounded and simple. It’s very good but so expensive - does a can of 10% imperial stout really need to cost £12+?

440ml can from Left Field Beer, Solihull and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear almost black colour with a thin broken, off-white head. The aroma is roasty, light caramel, dry ashtray. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a rich, oily, silky smooth, roasty, light dry ashtray, chocolate, light red berry fruits, liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Nicely balanced and very tasty.

440 ml can, from Left Field Beer, England. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, huge to large and creamy brown head. Aroma of roast malts, burnt breadcrumbs, coffee, unsweetened liquorice and dark chocolate. Flavour with the same elements, mid between dry and sweet. Distinct bittering hops in the finish.

Can on 6th April 2025 from One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood. Inky black with shallow, diminishing dark brown foam and scant lacing. Rich roasty aroma. Rich and intense roastiness in-mouth with bitter chocolate, spices, coffee and cherry fruits. A touch of smoke. A long, satisfying roasty finish with rear-mouth bitterness developing. Wholly exquisite.
