Bottle split at my 20K, from moi ..thanks to Daniel DJD for this trade, 13/09/17. Rich dark mhaogany brown with a decent off white cap that soon clears to nyadda. Nose is rich wine barrel, spice, red berry, light wood must, earthy. Taste comprises tarte red berry, rising balsamic strokes, wooded, big fruit balsams, vinous. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising puckering boost. Decent sour ... if a touch acidic.

Bottle at L42. It pours dark brown with a medium beige head. It pours deep reddish - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is fresh, soft, sweet, juicy, cherryade, candy, sugary, vinous, red wine, vanilla, oak and marshmallow. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, bright crazy acidity, big mouth - pucker, Granny Smith apple, red wine vinegar and pickled onion monster much with a dry, acidic finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice aroma, but a bit acidic.

At the source in Rare Barrel brewpub, Berkley-USA. Deep black pour, little ivory foam. Nose: red macerated grapes, grapes skin, fermenting wine! Lovely! Mouth: more red wine, wood, you can spot roasted character. Incredible! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Rare Barrel. It pours a very dark amber brown color with a fizzy, khaki colored head. The aroma is lightly oaky with some tobacco, cherry, fig and hints of vinegar. The flavor is oaky, figgy and very lemony with tons of lactic acid. Faint hints of tobacco ash in the finish. Very sour with fairly prominent red wine vinegar notes. A little too much for me.
