22oz bottle. Poured a really dark color with a tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, lots of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg. Really nice chai character. Flavor was similar, pleasant roast, not too heavy for 9.5% - wife even liked a little bit of it despite being so dark and roasted.

Sampled on draft at Hugo's this beer poured a black color with an enormous fluffy very dark brown head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was cinnamon, cardamom and toasty malts. The flavor was strong cardamom followed by cinnamon, roasty malt and toasty malt. Long finish with cardamom growing. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Bottle. Pours inky black with a medium creamy brown head and good lacing. Aroma is cocoa, molasses, leather, cinnamon, vanilla. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich and chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla and a light spice profile that accentuates without dominating. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness. This is not your average pastry stout here.

Draught. Not a winner for me. Black with tan head, looked great. Aroma was spice and tea. Tasted like chai, not beer. Black pepper finish.

Bomber. Pours a pitch black color with a medium brown head. A big spicy roast nose. The flavor is excellent: smooth, heavy roast, lactose, sweet vanilla, spicy but not overly so. Very smooth. Very appealing beer. Sweeter than the original. Very good.

Really big and heavy, good stout, but not getting all the spices.

Sample at the Great Divide Barrel Bar during "The Smoothness Release" on 10/05/2017. Black pour with a medium thin beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, chai spice and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of smoky malt, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and coffee. The finish is roasty and spicy with a malt and chai aftertaste. Good beer all around.
