A Double IPA with 100% Citra.
Mic check, mic check. It’s verbose, yet smooth, and always ready to have the last word.
Tasting Notes: pillowy, tropical, citra

Lilly, pineapple and orange nose, strong. Cloudy amber, medium head, nice lace. Dry, wheat bread crust, grapefruit. Full body, easy carbonation. Surprisingly toasty and malty, nice balance.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a brilliant, kabocha flesh colored gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Endless mango, pineapple and citrus. Velvety palate. Smooth as butter. Great bit of nashville haze. No trace of booze w/ light bitterness. One of my favorites from BI.

Can at RBSG. Pours a hazy yellow gold with small white head. The aroma is melon, earth, pine, citrus. Medium body, earth, pine, juicy, light bitterness, very good.

Bottle at share. Murky pour, big tart aroma. Fruity flavors, normal tart flavors, but this is an IPA. Nice juicy hops, lingering bitterness.

Pours a lovely hazed amber-gold with a heavy foam ring on top. Aroma drips with grapefruit-lemonade hops and the slightest bit of boozy astringency. Tastes unexpectedly malt-heavy, putting forth a massive amount of caramel to shore up the insane levels of citric hop juiciness. Comes across with a orange roll sweetness followed up by a mild bitter finish, and the fade is all pine needles and boozy warmth. Which, unfortunately, means this beer feels a little harsh for an 8.2% ABV; a smoother back end might better accentuate the hops. Not perfect, but still an imminently drinkable Imperial IPA from Bearded Iris.
