Oost Indië Porter is het zusje van de bierstijl stout. Porter heeft iets minder droge roastsmaken en wat meer chocolade-achtige smaken. Waar stout wordt gezien als de espresso onder de koffie, is porter de cappuccino. De geroosterde mout in combinatie met wat turfgerookte mout geven het bier een mooie mix van geroosterde en gerookte smaken. Met deze porter hebben we onze moderne versie gebrouwen van het bier dat vroeger met de schepen mee ging naar Oost-Indië.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, some ash, coffee, espresso, some chocolate, hint of fruits, surprisingly hoppy. Flavour is light sweet and moderate roasty and hoppy bitter. Body is medium. Nice hoppy cold coffee Porter.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Very black colored brew with an dry bitter taste, hints of roasted malts, chocolate and liquorice. The best beer i ever bought at the Albert Heijn Supermarkt.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, roast, chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, Thinnish. Roast, coffee, caramel. Raisin. Earthy, grassy hops. Coffee aftertaste. Nice!

Flesje gedeeld met Joep. Diep donkerbruin bier met beige schuim. Aroma van koffie en donker fruit. Smaak is koffie-achtig maar waterig. Ook de nasmaak is koffie-achtig. Ik had een vollere smaak verwacht.

Poured at Shelton Festival, dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is cocoa, roast, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice bitter finish, very good.

Thanks! 330 ml. split with two. Black tanned head. Nose is interesting mix of liquorice & dark berries. Taste is liquorice, dark berries, spice, grainy body, low bitter. Lacks some body, thin grainy but otherwise quite pleasant.
