During a trip through the UK, the Wilderness/Buxton Brewers conceptualised a hybrid beer using refined traditional English malts along with outlandish Amercian Hops including Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, and Mosaic. The result is a balanced beer that pushes the stylistic boundaries of ESB, which would cause Camra members to yell "Rubbish!"

Draught. Light hazy deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, light butter, grain, earthy hops and light citrus. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of caramel, toffee, light grain and earthy hops. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. The diacetyl disturbs a lot. A bit astringent too.

Draft @ Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity piney hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel hoppy weak piney flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel piney hoppy finish.

Kings Arms. Keg. Clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light, smooth and has light fine carbonation. Nice malts - well balanced toffee and cream. Mellow generic fruits integrate well. Pinch of spice. Smooth and slight and very drinkable. Iām a CAMRA member and I think this is rather good!
