Bottle. Color: Copper, very thin off-white head. Taste: Over medium sweet malt, notes of caramel, brown sugar. Hints of raisins and vanilla. Pretty strong but subtle boozy whiskey notes. Light hints of oak and pepper. Bit boozy finish, warming mouthfeel. Medium to over medium body, average carbonation. Nice, but not outstanding.

Aus der Flasche (Version Gouden Carolus Indulgence - Limeted Edition 2015 - batch 001 - Cask No.B613-615) im 2018-04 getrunken. Ich mag die Biere dieses Brauerei. Denn sie entwickeln über eine längere Zeit ein wunderbare Bouquet wie ein durchgereifter Wein. Dieses hier nun auch schon gut 3 Jahre alt und zeigt auch dieses typische Verhalten doch wo ist hier das Besondere? Ein Whiskyeinfluss ist nirgendwo wahrnehmbar. Schade! Denoch ist dieser dunkle Belgier echt Klasse.

Bottle with cork and cage, written batch 001 - but not sure if just printed all like that - 2015 edition, under Indulgence Whisky Infused. Deep amber with a big creamy beige head, long lasting with some beautiful lace. Aromas of full dark fruits and adding to this sweetness, hints of maple. This sweetness and fruitiness does come out in the taste with a nice warming feeling. Some mild hops do balance things, adding some light dryness, even sharpness to it. The Whisky notes are tasted in the finish, but all well-blended, so smooth Strong Belgian-style Ale.

0.75l bottle - Samobor tasting - thanks... Bazz I guess. :D Poured a dark brown-amber body, clear, with an off white head. Smooth, smooth malty aroma, pleasant whiskey, light alcohol, very much nice overall. Malt-driven taste, dried fugs, light coconut, light whiskey notes, light alcohol, smoooooth, with just a tinge of tartness and bitterness. Very drinkable and enjoyable for the ABV. Yup, still my favorite classic Belgian brewery I reckon. :)

Flaska från belgiuminabox drucken med ölföreningen. Indulgence 2015 versionen. Tack Daniel! Stor kropp med massor av söta smaker med också en hel del spänst och alkoholvärme. Antydan till mognad i smaken. Riktigt gyllen godis med smaker från honung och torkad frukt till söta starka avecer, karamell, fudge och en liten syrlig nyans. Sött men riktigt gott.

Caña en Cimmeria 01..03..2018. (r247). Color marrón oscuro turbio con espuma beige. Sabores maltosos dulces especiados, toques de caramelos, maderas, vainillas. No se nota mucho el whisky. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio. Algo seca y suave amargo final. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.

Keg at 2be, Brugge. Pours dark ruby brown with a large head. Aroma is rich caramel, raisin and a little whisky. Taste is malty, caramel and molasses. Whisky aftertaste.
