Schysst IPA is an India Pale Ale in full american westcoast style, that is to say that the beer has a clear focus on its hop profile with a little lighter and brighter malt base.

For this beer, we have chosen to use the three varieties of hops; American Citra and Australian Galaxy, which gives the beer a floral tropical fruitiness, and U.S. Chinook that adds a little spicier hop base.

You could say we went "ALL IN" in the amount of hops in this beer.

Schysst IPA has a bitterness of 65 IBU and an alcohol content of 6.3% by volume. OG 14.3 Plato. FG 2.7 Plato.

On tap @ Kick mat & Malt. Unclear golden body with a small, dense off-white head. Strong fruity aroma dominated by grapefruit. Flavor has a nice balance between sweet caramel malt, good bitterness and refreshing citric fruit and some pine. Medium body and bitter aftertaste. Another nice and well made IPA.

Keg at CBC Clapham. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is sherbet, candy, plenty of fresh citrus, Double Dip, wood and juicy tangerine. The taste is crisp, orange, tangerine peel, dry wood, warming alcohol, sherbet, straw, hay and decent bitterness with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smells rather great and doesn’t taste bad either. Nice.

Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki

Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of resinous and grassy hops, citrus, pine and fruits. Taste is hoppy, grassy and resinous with notes of pine, citrus and crisp caramely malts. Finish is hoppy, bitter and biscuity with crisp caramely maltiness. Okay juicy IPA, but doesn’t feel super fresh.
