12 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of spicy peppers upfront, with a bit of cocoa. Flavour is dull, with oxidized cocoa and spicy peppers. Certainly past its prime, but inoffensive. Meh.

Tap @ Patricks. Black body with a dense beige head. Nice spicy aroma with low roasted dark malt and something in between Christmas spices and chai tea. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, mild roast, dry fruit, moderate bitterness and spicy like aroma (ginger, cinnamon, pepper and chai tea). Fine balanced body and good aftertaste that also ads some warming chili. Pleasant and tasty and rather original.

Bottled. Pours black with fizzy tan head, like coca cola. Woody aroma with some pepper, chocolate and vanilla. Very spritzy mouthfeel, also like coca cola. Somewhat woody flavor with chocolate, peppers and spices.

Bottle. Appearance - black and opaque, no head. Nose - initial chocolate and coffee with green pepper. Then, something perfumed (violets) and then there’s a stewed plum thing. Taste - tonnes of chocolate and coffee and a lovely green pepper and stewed plums again. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy and fruity middle section and a balanced dry finish. Overall - this is delicious. Many others don’t agree. Democracy doesn’t work!

Light brown. Aroma sort of explodes with cinnamon and jalapeo...uh... Why? That’s hatch...ok, what do hatch chiles have to do with mole? Ok so harsh chile and cinnamon. Again...what does this have to do with Mexico? This resembles none of the dozens of moles I’ve had in Puebla or Oaxaca. Just throwing stuff in a kettle for no reason.
