30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Lidl Culemborg. Clear dark brown with an off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with licorice and juniper berries. Creamy and warming mouthfeel. At first I thought this to be an alias of the Gulpener Wintervrund: same brewer, same ABV, also with licorice and juniper berries; but after tasting them side to side I prefer the Gerardus Wittems. More licorice and juniper and overall a stronger flavour. Quickly became one of my favorite winterbeers.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Ruby red with a thick off-white head. Roasted malts in the aroma with some spicy notes. Upon tasting the roasted malts are in the forefront, with some wheat hints also. Reminds me heavily of a spiced doppelbock. Good long bitter aftertaste. Nice one.
