Pours tiny hazy pale golden with a rather small frothy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and slightly malty with sweet white bread, cereal, persimmon, slightly dry grass, buttery wood, moist soil and hints of compost. Taste is sweet, bitter and tiny fruity with sweet white bread, lemon zest, grass, lemon balm, cereal, overripe plums and grapes, biscuits and hints of buttery wood and metal. Mouthfeel is crisp, tiny astringent, watery and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with cereal, grass, buttery wood and lemon zest.

Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Bit hazy, yellow liquid with medium white head. Aroma of grass, some sulphur, grain, citrus and herbal hops. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with some floral hops and grain. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice and drinkable, good summer beer.

On tap at Ardbeg Embassy, September 2012. Hazy golden/orange with a white medium firm head. Aroma and taste of orange, bread, some spices and with a distinct bitterness. Tastier than the Kölsch that I drank in Köln/Cologne a couple of years ago.

Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Deeply hazy golden, rich firm head. Aroma of spicy hops and minerals. Dry with crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Slighy bready malt, lots of spicy hops and long minerally bitterness. The most proper kölsch I’ve had outside of Cologne, even if it is a bit heavy on the hops. An excellent thirst quencher!
