Tap at CBF Vienna, thanks to the Pelicon crew for this one. I only took numerical notes while having this.

Bottled@HBF2018. Black opaque colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is a lot of coffee. Flavour is coffee, some roast and mild toffeeish notes. Not much more than a bunch of coffee to a stronger stout.

0,5 l bottle. Pours almost pitch black with small brown head. Aroma of toasted malt and strong aroma of light roasted coffee. Taste heavy sweet and medium bitter. Body is full and oily. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is long, bitter light roasted coffee aftertaste, slightly sour. A decent treat for coffee heads, specially those that like lightly roasted morning coffee.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks zvikar. Black, brown foam. Roast, coffee beans, some mocha, caramel, sweet, bitter finish, a bit of ash, medium to full-bodied. Very good.

Strong coffee stout from the new Slovenian craft beer scene, thanks to Davor again. Very thick, densely creamy, regular head, almost ruddy beige in colour, over an ink black beer with thin mahogany edges. Very strong black unsugared coffee aroma, roasted chicory, burnt black toast, cigar ashes, leather, salmiak, dried elderberries, beef stock. Dry onset, clean with restrained dried blackcurrant and fig sweetishness along with black olive-like umami, very nutty from the start with softish carb and thick, oily mouthfeel. Toasted nutty malt body with strong burnt toast bitterness, unsugared chocolate and eventually, as expected, a strong bitter black coffee effect, not utterly aromatic but seamlessly merging with roasted grain bitterness and warmed by a dash of gin-like alcohol, with peppery hop notes in the tail. Like its sober and minimalistic label, this beer is quite straightforward, but offers what it promises: strong roasty ‘black’ bitterness accentuated by coffee bitterness. One for the true stouthead.

On tap at Macro Beer Fest Maribor 2017. Shared with lovely Anja. Dark brown, small head. Very strong coffee presence, acidic, some vanilla. Coffee and chocolate flavours, great balance. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth, lasting coffee finish. Nice, smooth, strong and aromatic.
