If our IPA were a car, it would definitely be driving on the left. Because that's how British this beer is. Using the best carefully selected English hops, we created a nice spicey beer with finesse. Based on the traditional India Pale Ale it is a real classic under the hood, with outstanding bitterness balanced by a hint of fruit and rich maltyness.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Took forever to pour with its huge head. Aroma is malt, caramel toffee, quite herbal with a touch of liquorice root and mint. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium with too heavy carbonation. Quite flawed and mediocre homebrew level beer. Nope.

Mrk bij mij. Dieptepunt. Smaakt naar suiker en misschien een bruine Belg maar in de verste verte geen IPA of hop in de smaak aanwezig. Backlog from 2015/04/17.

330ml Bottle - Copper/dark amber in colour. Dried fruit and earthy hops in the aroma. Blackcurrant, sultanas, caramel and raisins are in the taste. Bit too sweet for me.

Thanks to kermis! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Dean’s sticky Bomb Shelter” Tasting. Dark amber, solid white head. Nose is hugely vegetable, herbal, weirdly bitte,… Taste is herbal, strangely vegetable, odd mix with sugar & butterscotch,… Body is herbal & oily,… Wow, no, really not good, vegetable, herbal & butterscotch,… Yikes.

Bottle shared with my good friend Willem. Dark red to red-brown color, medium to full sized off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, quite sweet, some overripe fruits. Hmm drinkable but I don’t really like it.

Bottle at home. Murky brown with small white head. Belgian style yeast up front with cloves and banana, sweet berries, lots of tea, orange, sweet malts and caramel. Medium sweet taste. Medium bodied with very light carbonation. Does this brewer just put random styles on the label? It’s more like a Belgian ale. Not that bad though, but I think for over 3 euro it’s way overpriced.
