Tap at Q-Brick. Black, with a lacy head. Nose of coffee, chocolate, milk, caramel, roast. Caramel flavor, coffee, fruit. Sweet, with a good body. Big roast and bitterness. Comes across a bit like a bock. Well done and unique.

Pitch black, good two finger creamy tan head, diminishes slowly, good lacing. Roasted malts nose, chocolate, coffee, liquorice; smooth taste, heavy sweet, light bitter, burned sugar, coffee, spicy notes. Full-bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mellow bittersweet, roasted malts, chocolate, spicy and alcoholic notes in the finish. Strong fellow but surprisingly smooth and mellow, good.

Pours a pitch black color, very silky, topped with a very decent and lasting dark beige head. Mild malty aroma, slightly roasty and coffee-like with nice notes of chocolate. Taste is slightly on the sweet side, very mild roasty presence, nice chocolate taste with moderate bitterness in the end. A hint of alcohol, but very easily drinkable. A more gentle Imperial Stout, very likeable.

Bottle from Steamworks Liquor, Vancouver
Black color; small, compact, brown head. The dark malt aroma is almost bready. Lean body, the mouthfeel is drier than the average Imperial Stout; it has a quite strong flavor of roasted malts, some coffee, rye bread; a bit more sweetness would help; and there is a bit too much salty liquorice; in the final, there is more rye and its mild sourness.
Nice beer, not exciting, but somehow original.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Thick black pour with fine but frog-eyed dark tan head. Aroma is chocolatey and coffee roasty, a bit of raisin and anise. A lot of different stout aromas. Taste is good - rich, bitter, chocolate, some coffee, nice palate. Good but not great stout.
