33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12.11.2012
Quite fruity aroma with peaches, citrus and biscuits. Flavour is somewhat hoppy with gooseberry bush, some nettles, grapefruit, apricot and soapy lemon. Somewhat disturbing and odd, vegetable‐like savor in the finish. Quite American for a German beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Tom. Slightly hazy golden-orange. Aroma of stale hops, slightly floral and buttery popcorn notes. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt, a bit grainy. Decent bitter hoppy finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 01/2013)
Hazy orange color, steady white head, lots of yeast in the bottom of the glass. Grapefruit-citrus and peach in the nose, resiny notes. Medium-bodied. Very fruity flavor, nice American style hoppyness. Sweetish notes, peach, some citrus. My second APA from Germany and nice one.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Black Door, 20120817) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, hay and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, grass, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy, hoppy and bitter. A quite pils-like beer with nice clean fruitiness.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, some floral notes, mild buttery notes as well as some sweet malts and toffee. Flavour is fruity, floral, caramelly with a quite big bitterness and some slight tart wooden notes as well. Quite mediocre.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Golden colour, mid-sized white head, lovely and promising hop aroma: grassy and tropical. Medium-bodied with a solid malty base, grassy, slightly resiny and floral hops with a touch of tropical fruit. Very nice beer.

Bottle from Maruhn, Darmstadt
Cloudy light amber color with generous compact head. Nice aroma, fresh with floral and fruity tones, of German malt and some good hops. Smooth mouthfeel, with rustic but pleasant flavor of cereals and grainy malt, good bitterness level with light fruity presence. Not enough hop quality in the final, that is also dry.
Unclean but pleasant.

33cl bottle. BBE 11/2012. Poured hazy orange witha creamy white, lacing head. Fruity, citrus aroma, with yeast and some earthy notes. Fresh aroma. Flavor is has caramel, citrus and malt. Less fruity than the aroma promised, but still very much there. Earthy, caramelly finish. Quite thin. Pleasant surprise.
