Bottle. Thanks, PotjeBier! Golden color. Malt, peach and a hint of vanilla in the aroma. Soft sour flavor with peach, vanilla and a hint of whisky. Odd mix of flavors, but quite likeable

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy pale golden color. Big white head. Aroma’s: light sweet, fruity sour, light boozy, bourbon/whiskey-ish. Retronasal it’s sweetish, fruity and light boozy. Flavor is moderate sour with a hint of sweetness and light alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavor lingers. Interesting experiment, but not highly enjoyable.

330ml bottle, from trade with Monstermagnet. Many thanks! Pours a misty gold, white head. Aroma is sweet farmhosue yeast, light Jamesons influence. Taste presents a nice sweet farmhosue saison with light nuances of Jamesons and funky apricot following through. It works surprisingly well, and very different to what I was expecting.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, average sized white to off-white head. Aroma is sourish, tangerine, fruitpeel. Taste is wheat, a bit sourish, although not really sour, it’s mostly fruitpeel tart really with a touch of wood from the barrel perhaps. Decent body and carbonation. Ok beer.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of sour peach, tart apricot candy, wood, whisky, caramel, some vanilla, funk, lemon. Flavour is nicely sour, lemons, wood, funk, soft whisky sweetness, tart apricots, lemon peel, woody tart-bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Really brave of them to go with a saison instead of something more obvious like an Imperial stout. Works out really well IMHO.

THANKS to Travlr! Sampled draft @ Oedipus during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is sweet orange peel, low brett, sugar, candy, malt, sweetened orange peel. Taste is very sweet orange peel, sugar, overly sweet, stone fruit, apple, vague funk in the back, brett. Sugar & orange peel body. Way too sweet for me, Jameson whisky barrels were a strange choice to opt for, far too much sweetness especially for the style, maybe it needs more time?
