Another green one by Fantôme, 75 cl bottle (green glass, green label). Snow white head with greenish tinge, moussy, closed, lacing; hazy mint green colour. Aroma of peppermint leaves, mint-flavoured toothpaste, soap, lots of fresh lime, green apples, white bread, white pepper, cloves, bubblegum. Crisp onset, sweetish but restrainedly so, unripe banana and green apple, sourish touch, fizzy carbo, supple and notably soapy mouthfeel; clear soapy-sourish wheat, light breadiness, strong retronasal peppermint in a toothpaste-like way, lingering soapiness, late floral and eventually bit peppery hoppiness. Some of Fantôme's creations are marvellous but some just go too far and it is hard to take this one too seriously... If a comparison must be made, I liked Magic Ghost better, this one is just too pepperminty, toothpaste and mouth wash-like to truly mean something substantial. Weird, looks beautiful though...

Bottle. Etre Gourmet. Witbier? Ok. Mushy pea green. Pale peppermint green, voluminous, frothy, lasting head. Nose has squeezed lemon. Pink peppercorn. Fresh cut mint. Bit of a rose petal thing. Bit of a peachy hop thing, too. Taste is crisp, clean, lemony, peppery bitter. Light body. Massaging mouthfeel. Clean, bright, lemony finish. Really good. Madness in a glass, innit?

Retronasal it’s herbs, mint, ginger, bitterish, medicinal. Flavor is moderate bitter, moderate sweet. Light bodied. Spicy mouthfeel (ginger or pepper?). Finishes yeasty, herbal, moderate bitter. Weird but OK.
