Taste
A New England Session IPA is purposefully hazy and has a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Divine Road is the perfect combination of barley, wheat, rye and oats. In addition we have used large quantities of American hops: Athanum, Citra, Cascade und Loral. The result: a hoppy citrus flavor with soft bitterness and silky-smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle from De Poort Van Kleef, Deventer. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, lemon, mildly tropical, soft wheat, grassy notes, some grapefruit. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is light. A bit modest but overall quite refreshing and drinkable with plenty of citrussy hops.

Bottle. Pours hazy light straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with fruity and estery notes and touches of malt. Bitter and estery flavour with grassy notes. Estery aftertaste with hints of hops and touches of citrus. Not bad but a little watery.

6/XII/18 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 11/VII/19, L17247/15 - (2018-1959)
Slightly cloudy light yellow to light beige beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: quite some citrus, grapefruit when opening the bottle. In the glass you get more malty notes, sweet, caramel, even a bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon medium to light body. Taste: pretty fruity start, some lemons, then soapy, grapefruit touch, petty bitter, bit malty, sweet malts. Aftertaste: soapy, watery, dry bitter, grapefruit, oxidized, peach flavoured candy, slightly bitter notes. This doesn't taste like a 5 month old bottle, more like an 11 month old bottle, or even more? I thought this would've been bottled VII/18, but clearly this is way older… Who the hell puts a BB-date of more than 12 months on a NE session ipa???

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, yellow colour with a big and blond foamy head. Yeasty, fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, lime and pineapples. Mildly bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry malty and yeasty base with present fruity, mainly citric and slightly exotic hops; Surprisingly lasting dry and moderately bitter hoppy and fruity finish with a chalky touch. Good. 04.V.18
