330ml bottle from 2016 craft beer advent calendar. Pours a clear mahogany with a medium, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet malty aroma of roast, nuts, dark chocolate and bread. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, bread, rye and nuts with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Pretty solid.

33cl bottle. BBE 09-09.2015. Poured deep brown color, thin off white head. bready aroma, grainy malt, some mint notes. Bready flavor, mint, smoked malt, some rye. Nice slightly bready rye finish. Really good.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Deep ruby colour, close to black, with a mediumsized fluffy beige head. Aroma is nutty, a bit smoked wooden and ashy notes as well as some slight rye bready notes. Flavour is rye bread, some mild ashes, burnt wet wood as well as some caramelly notes. Actually quite a pleasant brew, especially when approx 15 C it gets to shine.

Aroma has mellow roastiness, vegetables and metal. Also hints of chocolate. Flavour has coffee, chocolate and some distant metallic & vegetable tones. Finishes with mellow hops, grapefruit and grass. More rich and better than I expected.
