Bottled 330ml (KSM Antinkatu) Clear amber-copper colour, small off-white head. Caramalt, bread and light pine in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet malty, bready, a bit worty with some hoppy bitterness. Decent NA.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Waitrose. Pours clear copper with a frothy, white head. Definitely one of the better low ABV beers I have had. Has some lightly toasted malts, nips of pine, orange peel, moderate sweetness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with soft piney bitterness, more relaxed citrus, bready malts. Drinks really easy, has balance, has enough flavour. Can't complain about this too much.

Pour une bière sans alcool (ou quasiment avec seulement 0,4 %), cette Special Effects est tout à fait intéressante avec une bonne présence en bouche, ce qui est souvent le point faible de ce genre de bière. Du côté des arômes, même si cela manque d'inspiration et de complexité, cela n'est pas déplaisant avec un cocktail d'orange amère, mandarine, de caramel, de fines épices et de résineux. Qu'il y ait du Sorachi Ace, que cela ne me surprendrait pas. La longueur est elle aussi acceptable et le visuel sur un ambré limpide parcouru par de très fines bulles avec un mousse de 3 mm plus que correct. Sans conteste la meilleure bière à faible titrage que j'ai eu à tester.

[355ml bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell.] An attractive copper coloured pour with a short lasting cream head; citrusy malt aroma; rather thin in the mouth but with a pleasant malty orange taste. Hard to tell that this is NA.

Mörkt bärnstensfärgad med ett litet skum. Doft av kakdeg och apelsinmarmelad. Tunn munkänsla. Smaken är ganska söt och man hittar apelsinskal och gräs. Det finns bättre alkoholfria öl.
