Urban Farmhouse Ale (previously known as B-side) is a light , crisp and refreshing farmhouse ale. Golden to light orange in color with a floral nose and a dry finish. Urban Farmhouse Ale is brewed with three base malts: Organic Pilsner, Organic 2-row and Rye. [Farmhouse Ale] Northwest grown Willamette, Golding and Hallertauer aroma hops offer a soft underlying bitterness to help bolster the refreshing nature of the beer. The key note speaker in this beer is the Farmhouse Ale yeast.

Traditionally farmhouse ales were brewed on farms in the French and Flemish regions of Belgium. These beers were born out of necessity as most water was not potable and the farmers needed a light, refreshing low alcohol beverage to offer the hardworking farmhands.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow, with a huge creamy head. Aroma is yeasty notes of wood and crisp citrusy lemon peel, as well as hay, grass and honey. Medium to light body, with soft but mouthfilling carbonation. Flavour is tart and yeasty, with notes of wood, lemon and grassy herbs as well as floral notes. A drinkable, straightforward farmhouse ale.

Hazy golden with a disappearing white head. Fruity aroma, mostly tropical, spicy notes of coriander and clove, and some herbal and grassy hop notes. Sweet malty, fruity and spicy flavour, with grassy hops and a rather bitter finish. Very classic, but a little sweet, plus, equally good Belgian saison is cheaper in Denmark

New Beer Distributors, NYC 750ml ($10): Pours light yellow with some haze and a white head. Aroma is nice citrus, farmhouse funk, and some nice light malts. Taste is much the same. This is a mild, but well-done saison. Nice and dry toward the finish. Easy to drink and pretty light. I liked it.

750ml bottle. Hazy yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Fruity, floral and yeasty spicy aroma, notes of peach and orange. Taste is quite similar, cautious tartness. Resemblance to a Belgian Wit - would have guessed this to contain wheat instead of rye.
