Is an unbelievably hoppy rye IPA with full on spicy rye malt body. Brewed to commemorate our gyle 50 beer brewed at the Atom Brewery.

Can from Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Hmmm. should a Rye IPA actually be Specialty Grain? Rye and resin aroma. An attractive cloudy blood orange amber. Creamy, not overly thick, white head. Initial light bitterness before a really juicy sweet citrus waves comes through. Medium bodied. Slick. A low key fizz of carbonation. Long finish. Really liked this. Better than I was expecting. Juice.

Can from Asda. It pours hazy orange - amber with medium off-white head. The aroma is earthy, spice, brown bread, rivita and damp leaves. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, resin, grainy, brown bread, toffee/caramel, spice, wet cardboard, bit of orange marmalade, cake and grainy sugars with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Can't say this is as hoppy as they are making out, a lot more malt character..not sure this one quite works.

The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a smooth, rich, sweet malt, light fruit, light dry pepper spice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Keg at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, mango, grapefruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, mango, grapefruit, tropical fruit. This had a heavy texture but still pretty decent.
