Scrumpy is an old English term for a farmhouse cider. Ours is made simply from the organic apples with their naturally occurring wild yeast, grown in our orchards. The same orchards that have been in our family for over 150 years.

This original estate cider has a fresh and juicy apple aroma and leaves a crisp and clean finish.

Ciders aren’t really my thing but this was about as good as I’ve had, not that I’ve had that many.

Cloudy golden colour. It's a bit buttery, definitively some vinegar, but not too acidic, and quite sweet too.
Messy, pleasant, it's really like drinking vinegar and sugar.

Pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours light gold. Aroma is apples all the way - somewhat sweet smelling. Flavor is crisp but sweet apple - actually quite good - very appley and not cloying. Just the fainted bit of carbonation makes this really good. I'm not a fan of sweet ciders, but this is tasty - this is a step above in the sweet category.

650mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out medium apple sweetness, with a little farmhouse funk, and some light tannins. Flavour is quite sweet for a scrumpy, with very little farmhouse character, with medium sweet apples. Drinks easy like juice. Not very scrumpy-like to me, but it's very nice for what it is.

Cloudy, light tan. No head, of course. Apple juice aroma with just light tannins. Very sweet, though, on the palate. The tannins aren’t enough to cover the overt sweet nature of this. The apple character is fresh, but it’s too much like juice for me, and not enough like a nice, alcoholic scrumpy.
