Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a large foamy head with great retention and good lacing. Aroma of dry and citrus hops with dry malt. Taste is drier then expected with some citrus notes. Malt profile is definitely different then most IIPA which might be due to the usage of rye. Good carbonation with full body which seems to indicated limited filtration and no apparent alcohol. While I appreciated this beer and like how it is trying to do something different (rye) for a style too often populated by clones, I thought it was a bit too dry and lacking some floral notes.

22 oz bottle from beastiefan2k. Fall 2007 on the label. Pour is a very hazy cloudy golden orange. Looks like juice, almost. A nice two inch white head tops the beer, and has decent retention. Aroma of orange citrus hops and clean pine. Nice nose. Taste is very floral, orange citrus, delicate and soft. The finish has some fairly sharp grapefruit bitterness. Also a bit of rye bite. Body is very light, and mouth drying. Super drinkable, snappy, and well done. Really great balance and approachability. I just love this brewery. Thanks for this very generous bonus Eugene!

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly, mildly alcoholic as well as nectary. Flavour is very grassy, hayish and yeasty. Bitter finish and aftertaste. The aroma was lovely, but as for the flavours, I got quite dissappointed.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, rich but faint head. Rich hop aroma of peach and lychee. Medium sweet with solid body. Dominated by aromatic hop flavours - grapefruit, lychee and sweat. Malt only backs it up. Long very bitter finish.

Deep blond color, huge foam, persistent perlage. The aroma is hoppy, dry, resiny, with some malt mellow note. Medium body strength, almost all the flavor comes from the hops; some malt is noticeable later, but the hop oils win all. I’m surprised by the big quantity of yeast in the bottle, that spoils a bit the taste of the last glass. Unbalanced.

Huge shiny offwhite head. Hazy opaque yellow body. Sugary soft barnyard aroma with hoppy notes. Sweetish intense bitter barnyard taste with fry soft metallic pine needle aftertaste. Not bad, but flawed. (0.65l bottle at Knut Albert’s.)

Brew courtesy of fordest. Pours a faintly hazy yellow-ish orange and white head. The aroma is sweet hops from orange juice, orange peel and hard orange candy. The flavor is a smooth progression from tangy orange juice, grapefruit and then orange rind. There’s also a mild sweet sugar maltiness in the background. Seems to be a mix of both hop bitterness and hop flavor. Very tasty.
