Waxed, capped 500 from the Portland venue. Pours opaque ruddy brown with a small tan creamy head. Has a typical oud bruin aroma. Med body. Flavor is tart with dark cherry like fruit / definite funk that's not Brett / malt that's not easy to describe and wood notes with something like wine and/or brandy. Nails the style IMHO.

Multi-layered. Nose with dried fruit—Christmas cake barley wine. Then some vinous notes and acidity, finishes more like an oud bruin

Bottle. A- Tart, subtle funk, oak, berries. A- Dark red color, cloudy liquid, beige head. T- Tangy, acidic, oak, berries. P- Medium body, lively texture, effervescent carbonation, tart finish. O- The fruit notes came across as a mixed berry flavor and the beer with 2 years of age on it was very lively and acidic, almost a bit much. A good tartness although I would've liked a bit more oak or funk to it. I can't decide if fresh or age would help this one.

500 ml waxed. Bottled a little over ten months ago. Aroma is dark fruit, vinegar, wood, funk, cooked asparagus, molasses. Pours murky reddish brown with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is highly sour (8/10), light to moderately bitter (above average bitterness for style) with nice dark fruit flavors. Other than the somewhat distracting vegetal off-note, this is really good.

Sample at Kraft House No. 5. The beer is a mahogany-brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of oak, dark fruit, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with a vinous oaky character and flavors of funky yeast, doughy malt and berries. The finish is tart and oaky with a cherry and berry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

On tap at Angels Trumpet Ale House. (vintage 2018) Dark brownish/red with a minimal head. Aroma of dark fruit, oak, funk and some malt. The same in the taste. The alcohol was well hidden and the finish was sour.
