The Houleuse is a light and fruity beer. Wheat malt gives it a cloudy appearance and a certain sweetness. Bittersweet, the addition of orange peels reveals a fruity fragrance and a certain freshness. It is a refreshing beer ideal for hot days, for an aperitif, and to accompany fish or other light dishes.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized frothy head. Slightly dusty and mildly sour wheat-malty aroma with notes of citrus and coriander. Moderately sour and delicately sweet flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Slim wheaty base with a tinge of barnyard, citrus and coriander, the latter getting a tad stronger towards the mainly sour-fruity and tart finish. Perhaps a bit past its prime, otherwise less than decent. 14.VII.16

Bouteille:Pale, very pale golden, hazy, small loose white head; sweetish-sourish nose of wheat and coriander, bitter oranges barely detectable; mild sweetish-sourish flavour, fizzy and quite light bodied, still a bit sticky; slightly lingering more sweet than sour fruity-wheaty finish, coriander well detectable in the aftertaste. A bit too sweet, still refreshing...
