Winter time! Everybody’s favourite season! Glimmering seas of snow stretching as far as the eye can see. The muffled, but nostalgic sound of traditional carols through your window, as you peacefully sleep in your warm, cozy bed. And big, fluffy snowflakes dancing seductively as they float down on top of everything.
Nevermind shovelling every morning for two hours in the freezing cold. Oh, and drunk kids on vacation shouting after midnight is just great for your beauty sleep!
And the family getting together! And paying half your salary for a damn tree!
Such a swell season! Wow! Magical! At least we got some sweet, gloopy, decadent alcoholic beverages to imbibe on.
And Winter Socks.

ABV: 9.0%. Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, toasted - roasted, caramel, sweet malt, figs, maple syrup. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, figs, maple syrup, dark malt, caramel, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20200420]

Can from Hop Hooligans. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy brown. Aroma and taste are rich dried fruits, caramel, malt, hops and has a nice warming oily finish. Quite sweet.

330ml bottle, a year old to the day. Hazy copper colour with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet, figs and other dried fruits dominate, maple syrup, vanilla. All this carries through to the taste as well, very sweet, figs and dried fruits prominent, maple syrup seems more like vanilla to me, perhaps there's a bit of both, brown sugar, caramel, some bitterness, alcohol is pretty well hidden, finish is warming. Medium body, soft carbonation. Decent winter warmer.

At a tasting, small stable creamy bubbly head, cloudy deepisjh red color, aroma of milk chocolate, and strawberries, like liquor filled pralines, also some smoke, flavor of cake, wax and some fruitiness, rum and vanila, light noticable bitterness. Overall a bit strange and too sweet, aroma much better then flavor, fair.
