Bottle at Kaeru. Amber coloured, golden. Light citrus, orange, bit of caramel maltiness. Nice as a first beer, but maybe a bit bland.

Draught at the 2011 Tanabata Beer Festival in Toyama. This is now an altbier. Don’t know if it really was an amber lager before, but I doubt it. Cloudy amber with a tall, foamy head. Caramel nose, metal, dry grassy hops. Rich caramel flavor; earthy, with grass and nice bitterness. A bit metallic. Nice enough though not so special. Somewhat harsh at the finish. Decent alt, though.
